Program Highlights
Students who study Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication (ATEC) focus on the exploration of art and design. They learn to develop individual perspectives, investigate emerging technologies, and identify opportunities for design innovation. The Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees in ATEC merge computer science and engineering with creative arts and humanities to create technological experiences that shape our living.
Undergraduates studying the BA in ATEC focus on the foundations of computer animation, game studies, UX/UI design, motion graphics, digital fabrication, and media histories. They can select concentrations in, Emerging Media Arts (EMA), Animation & Games (A&G), or Critical Media Studies (CMS), or continue the generalist degree plan exploring all that ATEC offers.
